Tom Bean ISD currently offers 7 Programs of Study in 4 Career Clusters:
Animal Science, Plant Science, Agricultural Technology, and Mechanical Systems
Graphic Design and Interactive Media, Digital Communications
Culinary Arts
Engineering Foundations
If approved, the bond will fund classroom renovations that support hands-on learning in programs such as culinary, welding, robotics, graphic design, and floral design.
Other student programs affected by the bond are fine arts (elementary and middle school) and athletics (locker room renovations).
ENROLLMENT GROWTH
Tom Bean ISD growth
Tom Bean Middle School is projected to exceed its functional capacity within the next three years.
To address this, the proposed 2025 bond package includes funding for the addition of new classrooms at the middle school.
SAFETY & SECURITY
Tom Bean ISD has implemented various safety and security updates throughout the district using Maintenance and Operations (M&O) funds. The proposed bond package would provide funding to address additional projects using financing outside of the M&O budget (learn more about school funding here).
Projects surrounding safety and security include the addition of security vestibules to all front offices, a new ramp to the elementary school gym, and a required storm shelter at the middle school.
